Isn't annoying when...

You stop or skip your daw and it makes some perfect sound that you can't ever make again or carpture.

Also, sometimes when I'm dragging midi notes around (plays the note in logic) it makes the synth make a wicked sound I can't figure out how to replicate with actual midi

I have those moments too.

It is possible to record some of them though. Logic now can record from it's own busses in realtime. So you could arm a track, move your midi notes around and record them. Stopping or skipping the daw wouldnt work in this situation though since obviously it needs to be running to record.

There are audio capture programs that can record streams from apps within your OS. Not sure of the specific ones for Mac but have a look around and you should be able to find something.

Interesting...

How do you make logic record its own busses? I've been trying, I don't see any arm function on my busses or aux tracks in logic.

I do it all the time at work in Protools but have never been able to buss and record tracks within logic.

Cool, i will definitely look around.

If I was going to switch to 8 I might as well switch to Live and I'm just not ready to do that yet. Smile

I do with SCOPE to route the ASIO driver output to Wavelabs input.

C4 can record it's own busses now too though, great feature.
