The calculator is mainly useful for compressors and gates as they don't have auto sync functions like delays.
Eventually I will port this over to an Adobe AiR or Flex app so it can be run offline and without the need of bringing up the browser.

that's a great idea. i'll def check the ms on my next tune to hear how that sounds.
that's the funny part about making this music... it can become infinitely complex, until someone gives you the most basic hint... then it all comes together.......... well at least for a day or two..

Auto release is mainly made for when you're compressing program material, ie a whole mix. It adjusts the release time based off of the current level of compression and other factors. Effectively it helps give a more natural response. I tend not to use this function for dance though as it seems a time based approach is better.

i also noticed,on ear,that auto release is not good for me.
