Live8 Fades
#1
Whats up with the fades in live 8? Somehow trying to put a fade on one edit it put fades on every single edit in my entire project and the only way I could get rid of them was one at a time...

Anyone else deal with this before?

if you try consolidating the region you want to edit, live will then recognize that region as a new region with no links to any other copies of that region.

Can you reproduce this in a new project or with the one you've got now?

I've never seen it do this and couldn't get all the fades to change even when I tried selecting multiple parts.

I think what Rami is talking about is like Logic's alias feature but correct me if I'm wrong I don't believe Live works like this as I've never seen a connection between duplicated parts.

Had a quick look through the manual just now and found no mention of that either.

It seems what you experienced was a bug and not intended behaviour.

I want to say that it happened to me once, a while back, but cant guarantee it, it couldve been in another DAW altogether

tho the technique I described was really a shot in the dark, that I figured logically should solve the problem

I bet it was a bug. And ya a lot of DAWs adhere to the alias/copy method but Live doesn't seem to.
