For those that haven't seen the post going around, another music distribution outfit bites the dust with a large impact on some major labels. Blame has been put on the illegal downloading and file sharing of music.
I do think that is part of it, but the other cause is the weak economy.

yeah when amato went it hit PTR very hard. this one wont so much but all this blame being put on illegal downloads is BS. granted there are those that abuse it, but 99% of the people i know that have done this, DL 1 maybe 2 songs then end up legally buying the album or several other tracks by the artist. quite honestly i think "try before buy" and bootlegging music has actually helped sales in some areas. especially the farther left of center genres, indie, techno, death-metal, etc.
non the less, it is a shame another company has to close its doors.
