Recommend decent headphones
#1
ok i know we had a topic about headphones.

Basically i am at the something like 70% of completeing my track, i am trying to listen to my material on many diffrent headphones and speakers and environments.

I do not have monitoring speakers. Thought about buying some decent monitoring headphones,or headphones that accuratelly tell me how my mix sounds ,without "wtf" effect when turrning into speakers. I think it already sounds not bad, checked on some koss and akg stuff ,but none of them were really "flat responding" to trust in everything .

so i thought i wil lgrab something in next week and buy .

Offcourse i cant afford anything from top shelf. Can anyone recommend to me anything decent ,with affordable price ?
I remember medway wrote some words if i am correct about sony mdr v6,unluckily almost unreachable anywhere atm ,i would buy a pair, people used to say that they are really flat responding and give a real view of a mix,and price is really nice ,i saw some time ago a pair for 300 zlotys (around 72 euros )

i thought also about akg 240 mkII ,around 500 zlotys

My experience with headphones is pretty limited as I almost never use them anymore. I know Sven has some he likes so maybe he will answer as well.

easy easy easy the Sony MDR7506 is a great option. Affordable, comfortable and great sounding. This is a bit of hearsay but I once heard its the only headphones PVD will trust for making an edit or adjustment on something he will play out.

Edit: these are the same as the V6's just the new model

Just got some Beyerdynamics 770 Pro's. Very comfortable, but get the 250 ohm model if you want to drive them hard. Had the 80 ohm model and had to send them back because they couldn't handle the power.

Well, the 80 ohms are more compatible with iPods and things like that, so when I cranked up my mixer they started clipping quite early. It's more about getting accurate and quality sounds over a greater output range, than rocking out at full blast...

But I agree, the post read kinda funny, hehe.
