Speaking of Charts...

With the talk about how to increase your sales by being charted, thought this was interesting...or rather, a bit of an annoyance.

Not sure why an online distributor would accept a chart like this, but check out juno's Alex Costa chart for June.

Every track is either his original, remix or collaboration. Now, perhaps he truly plays those, but come on! A bit too obvious, isn't it?

Some djs are just like that and always promote their own stuff. I used to be the opposite and never played my own stuff out although now I do to test it before sending over to a label.

I would say that he might be shooting himself in the foot as people might not bother to look at his charts any more if they just contain his own tracks. I normally check a dj's chart to find cool stuff I hadn't noticed before. In this case one could just go through his track list as an artist.
