Sub bass?

Any good tips on making tracks with sub bass and kicks together?? Compression?

Sidechain, perhaps, is your best friend here Smile

The best trick is to get a good kick sample and bass sound in the first place, after that I'll just use a bit if complimentary eq on them. Sidechaining can work too if the notes are happening at the same time.

Finding the right samples, yes.

At first, when you said 'sub-bass' i thought of a constantly sounding note(s).

No just a good kick with a little sub on it...

Like i told you before, watch the battery tutorial (posted in the forum) and apply it. you'll be able to use multiple samples to create a kick and have the ability to modify each transient to create the exact sound you want.

Ya the tutorial should give you some ideas. I've noticed Bill applying them with his latest projects I've been mixing and it's made getting the kicks right a lot easier.
