Hey Jesse, Have you heard of this?

My boss was showing me it and it made me think of you because you were showing me how my track was coming up differently on the frequency analyzer than my reference track.

It seems like a bit of a "quick fix" wondering if it has any use to it...

I used to use something similar back in the day.. There was a plug on Pro Tools that did this which at the time seemed amazing for 1999 or so. but didn't use much. Then I got Voxengo's CurveEQ which also matches the spectrum (along with some other stuff)..

That was years ago and now I don't really touch that stuff. I would say that it can be useful to learn what's wrong in your mix. Only issue with them is how they average the level overtime. It can give a false reading overall depending on the music.

It would work as a quick fix but not really one you'd get much use out of. Better to just use the spectrum analyzer to see the faults in the mix and fix them in the mix itself. Generally when you use these matching plugins they sound can get phasey and weird, I just wouldn't even bother with it.
