EQUIPMENT USED: PC quad core, Cubase 4, Acces Virus, Sylenth, Korg Legacy Cell (MS-20), Yamaha HS80m monitors, M-audio audio interface, axiom 49 midi keyboard.
MASTERING: Brainworx bx digital, T-racks compressor, PSP xenon limiter
Two tracks here:
'sy gardner - progression mile' hard progressive trance 128 bpm now on this track it was more about a clean and clear sound, without limiting too much
'sy gardner - only makes you stronger' trance 140bpm this track was more pushing for loudness, which I think I've achieved whilst keeping the dynamics
'only makes you stronger' I sent to a quite a few trance labels and had a few good responses, so hopefully it's looking like it will be signed over the next few weeks.
I'd say I was at a pretty good level production wise as I did a HND in audio engineering a while back, I've also been producing for nearly 7 years, and playing the keyboard from 12 (I'm now 24), also with a few digital and vinyl releases over the years.
All though I admit it's only really the last year or so that I truly have understood the mastering and eq'ing process. Hopefully you can see that too.
I'd really love to hear your feedback Jesse, and what improvements you think you could make. As listening to your stuff, it is truly crystal clear production, and how you can cleanly hear 'everything' including those sub basses, etc, in your tracks, all very impressive.
I know that with your expertise you could give them that extra edge, so I'd be happy to hear your comments please on the two tracks on my soundcloud page.
thanks dude
