Will have a take a look at this, although I see they are trying to use 64bit as a marketing point, don't believe this, won't make a difference as 32bit is plenty. The only thing that suffers sound quality wise in Live is when you use the warping, the mixing engine is fine.

The new Drum Rack thing sounds interesting though.

yeah, just had a look at the video on the "Drum Rack"...

looks very nice indeed.. hell ye could compose a whole track using the drum rack alone methinks...

but ill wait for a proper review from yourself j. Wink

missed the video, will go check it now.

btw how are u sequencing your guru stuff in your daw?

I've tried the drag the pattern method but the timing is all messed up then so have been just triggering patterns.

edit: ok checked it, seems pretty useful for organizing different sources of drum sounds. You can make
a nice composite kit out of anything.

just wondering if everybody is solely using live for creating mixes.

after spinning vinyl exclusively for about 10 years, then CD's and vinyl for 2 more...now i do. because of the flexability of it. i know Zabiela redifined the CD medium, using the cdj's and the pioneer effects rack, but personally i really like ableton. and truly the only people i've ever gotten any critism from is vinylphiles...(i got in a HUGE argument with Frankie Bones about this!)
i may not be able to get my head around doing what Zabeila does with cdj's but i feel/think i can do more with ableton and the crappy controller i use.
i'm waiting to hear Medways feedback on the Allen-Heath Xone 3-d before i buy one.....

I'm going over today to have another look at it and will get an update on how my friend is getting on with it.

I have used Live for doing mixes, works really well. When I eventually get a laptop I'll probably switch to djing with it as well.

Turned out that Live 7 was a great purchase. Really like the workflow and usability of the application. Definitely worth the money.

hi,

a bit off topic here, but i recall reading somewhere in another thread that integration of external hardware in live 7 is much easier now, would someone be so kind as to elaborate on that, Im very intrigued.

Ive downloaded the manual, and was skimming thru it real quick but came across nutin'

Thanks in advance
