The new transient detection and quantize functions inside clips works nicely. When you load a loop it automatically finds transient points, you can then select quantize (within the clip not in midi) and it then creates warp markers and snaps them to the nearest grid points. Essentially it makes quick work of what I used to do manually which was create warp markers by hand. The warp makers work differently now as well in that instead of moving the timeline within the clip around the transients themselves move and the timeline stays put. So its more like shifting notes on a grid now and intuitive to do over the old method.

Pretty cool. I noticed that the midi parts now have names on them, which is nice.

Will have to check that. I'd love to work on a new remix with 8 but not sure if their beta releases will be adjacent with respect to the expiration date. I think the current one expires in a few days and will see if they give out a new one to replace that so work can be continued right away.
