How do I make this sound...

This might sound like a naff question but...
the main sound from Mason- Exceeder and BodyRox- Yeah Yeah which is also in a huge number of other dance tracks- How do I make it? Is it a plug-in, a synth or are producers programming it themselves?

The main bassline from exceeder ca be emulated with a patch on Predator, forget the name but i could find it. Not sure if that's the one you mean though.

Think there may also be a Reaktor patch but the name escapes me. Not my type of sound.
