I've said it before and I'll say it again...There is SO much opportunity in remix competitions these days!

I'm not sure how much it 'really' counts, but they say, listens, comments and ratings are used (50%) to help to determine the winter.

Ya ever wonder what happens when the guy who wins doesn't actually dj? Do they have a backup plan for him?

Nice prize anyhow.... If I were to win something like that, I think I'd turn it down though. I can hold my own, but wouldn't want to embarrass myself at the WMC.

Depends on how peak time the slot is, could just be a warm up thing. I doubt they'd leave the main times to something of chance like that.
I would say it would be a mistake to turn it down though. Worst case just have some mixes prepared and I'm sure you'd be fine.

Ok, good point. Guess I'd give it a shot. And being a warmup set of sorts, the winner had better read this article:

Most of what's written seems like common sense, but I still think every dj should be forced to read it at some early point in their careers. A good read.

Great tips for sure..Lost count of the times I've seen 'warmup' guys banging it out early in the nite.
