On an unrelated note, this has been in the works for 2 years now, following it really closely and they just pushed the release date back 6 mths now.

dave smith just dropped the MoPho a 1 voice version of the prophet 8 with sub OSC as well.

That's the risk of hardware design, something always goes wrong. Software is always easier to patch, but then again hardware can sound pretty cool and give you that hands on feel.
