New Profile section - check it out...

Ok tweaked what I had for the profile pages themselves with a few things that Glenn mentioned. Take a look and see if this is basically what you need:

Generally its some info about you and then the ability to upload both patches/session files (supports fxp, fxb, als, and zip but let me know what other extensions are needed).

And then you can also upload a song/clip, write a little description about it, give the genre (these will be predetermined in a list to aid in searching later), and what 'state' it's in. So for collab status like my example is set to you could see this on the main page I'm about to make.

There you could search for songs with collab status along with genre.

You will also be able to private message someone in order to initiate sharing of files if you dont want them directly on your profile..

Also there's a comment system for each profile so basically a 'wall' to post comments and chat publicly.. then you can spam each other and it can be just like MySpace

So please have a look and see what you think so far.

Ok got the profile dashboard page up as well and did some more designing on the profile page.

Dashboard page lets you search by users who have songs wanting to collab with and also by genre.

You can see all users on a google map as well if you're wanting to find someone close to you.

I can add more search terms if needed, maybe by username too. Let me know if there's anything I need to add to do with searching.

Also I've got a shoutbox on the dashboard page so people can let anyone know what theyre up to if you've got a new song you want people to check out etc..

All that's left now is cleaning up the signup pages and then you can start to make your own profiles. And then adding private messaging and friend add capability. But should be about one more night of work so hopefully Friday I can make it live.

Ok signups are unofficially open.. the edit pages for the profiles are still a bit rough but for the most part everything is working.

I'm adding friend requests and private messaging tonight but everyone can start inputing their info.

If there's any catagories or types of info you want to add not already there let me know.

Same goes with search capability. Basically anything in your profile can be a search option on the dashboard page...

Instructions to sign up are on the dashboard page, pretty basic but if you have any problems let me know.


Note until you are registered you'll only be able to see basic data on all the profiles as I have it hidden by default.

Ok add private messaging with link on profile to send a message as well as add to friend.

Pretty much there now, signup pages are cleaned up a bit too.

i have no idea,i mean i would be able to sort it out if it works,i am not retarded,but damn forum works so slow for me that it takes ages to browse . Dunno the reason,all otehr websites work nice and smooth as always .

Is forum still slow or what it just that day? The site was slow when I was working on the profile section due to all the database access but should be ok now.
