I know Jesse hates the PC vs. Mac discussion, but maybe if we keep it to what everyone uses and the reasons why, and not why one is superior to the other.
I have a Dual Core PC desktop with 3 Scope boards that is the center of the studio, connecting to all the rest of the gear. Have a Mac laptop as well for mobile production and live gigs. Running Cubase 4 on both.

I'm using a Core 2 Duo P.C , 3 gig of ram, ableton live for me. I started using reason, then got cubase Sx 2, started rewiring both, but then picked up Live 3 when it came out and never looked back...

You gotta love that atari st, a 2 track tape machine, and a parade of keyboard playing chimps, I would split them up between keyboards and drum machines, i also have three of them running the mixing board, screw VSTi's.
Those monkeys rock the house man... thanks for the tip Jes.
I am having problems training them to use the bathroom but hey talk about some real keyboard chops, cant complain there.

Sven,
I'd wait for the next update I hear they are still working out some bugs in the code.
