Promotional Services
#1
Hello Everyone,

It's been a while since I have been around.. I have been working hard on tracks for many years and feel my stuff is finally reaching a pro level.

I just had my first release on beatport and had some downloads.. although not a significant number.

I am looking into using some promotional services

I was directed to Release Promo's Service and heard that it was good a few years ago... but am wondering if any one knows whether they are still playing a significant role in things. They charge 50$ a month to promote you via email to their list of participating dj's.

Any one have any good ideas on this sort of thing? Wink

Cheers!!

on blogspot there are sites that allow promotional music downloads (almost piracy but actually creators seem to like ti,thats a best way to promote)
and they also besides offering tracks of already known producers submit some promotional stuff from not known yet guys and if song is good they post it.I think it is superb way to promote your name.

Submitting your 2 bombs to few such sites ,they have thousands of downloads and visitors daily,so sending tracks there is almost instant "recognizer" if you are really good .

I am sure i will use this possibility when i will be 100% satisfied.

It doesnt give you money, but gives priceless recognition, also pro producers visit such sites (sometimes announcing remix comp etc).

I bet none service can provide a fast recognition like it nowadays, knowing how much people visit such sites to download music.

Azmatech,

I know the Release guys pretty well and am about to give them some of my tracks that have been on other labels but haven't used their services. They send out to a big list of the upper DJ's so I think it's well worth it. They've actually got a new website coming up as well which should help even further.

The blogs would be a way to get the tracks out but the advantage of Release is you get actual feedback from the DJ's who received it which is useful.

I'd give Release a shot and see what it does for you.
