Looks like some interesting things going on there, most notably the regroover with groove quantization functions.
Anyone here really using Reason 3.0 much?

i had used reason 3.0 for a while, but recently got rid of it when i got live 6. i like reason, but live and cubase have given me the quality i've been after production wise. however, i would like to check out what's going to be included in reason 4.

I don't use Reason too much these days, now and again i'll head in and load up Malstrom or Subtractor for some bass, but thats about all i would use it for these days....
looking at some of the new stuff for version 4 though, i could be well tempted...

Haven't used Reason for more than 4 years or so. Pretty much Scope & Cubase SX have done the job. Guess Reason is light enough for a laptop, but faster machines give you more overhead, as mentioned in another thread.

I will be keeping my eye on it as well, in the meantime FLStudio7 will be getting a good look at from me now that I've experimented with Live 6 enough to see what it's useful for.

I love reason 4 with the added THOR synth you get alot more to work with out of the box. Luke Vibert and A Guy Called Gerald did their whole last albums using only reason 4. You can get almost any bass sound your looking for with this program. A lot of ppl complain because you have to run the synths through the effects to get rid of that "thin" sound.
Check out my track 4 A.M. on

fully made in reason
I have another track more along the lines of the new deep minimal/progressive sound i'll post the you-tube link later.

I don't like using solely reason and it requires you getting creative making the sounds you want (But we are artists right

) As of right now my workspace is small so I don't have my Korgs (MS2000/EA1) or MC-505 hooked up right now they are now being used as dust collectors
