I'd say they are similar but not as good as the HR824's. They are a new range of monitor from Mackie, probably a stripped down more affordable version. I got mine €520 for the pair plus delivery from London to Dublin so pretty reasonable i thought.

I don't think i'd need anything bigger to be honest, i'm in a medium sized room so they will fit the bill for me i thinks

Whats the freq response of those ones? That would be the main thing I'd like to see, as far as how low they can go. The fact they've got a similar size main driver as the 824's would make me think they can go down to 45hz or so though.
