Ableton Live 8 Training Course announced

Ok have decided to put together a full fledged online course as it seems not everyone can do the one on one tutoring that I've been providing.

This first one will be covering Ableton from top to bottom in creating a finished track. Will show a few basics but the idea is to be a very practical course to give anyone all the stuff they really need to finish a track.


It will consist of videos along with written and graphic info as well as a few quizzes here and there. I can also set up a dedicated forum for the members of the course to discuss things inside the program.

Fantastic. It would be great if you could give some focus to speeding up workflow, including key commands, etc. I'm really interested in learning how to make music faster these days.

That would definitely be on the list, was even thinking about things to do in that regard today.

I think I might divide it up to one path where it gets you through all the processes that I use to make a track. And then I'll have side information that you can look at separately to go into more detail when you're ready.

Idea being to keep the process straight forward and focused for the day to day tasks but also have some nice stuff to go through for learning some tricks etc.

But also planned is to have something like a cheat cheat to download and possibly print out with common commands and functions for quick reference. Would be like a one page thing. And then another one or two pages for mixing and composing stuff.


At the moment I'm also putting the finishing touches on the profile idea I proposed here a few months ago. That should be up for testing in a couple of days or so.
