Ableton Live 8 Warping Tutorial

Sweet, thanks a lot for this video. I just go 8 and was completely lost and even the manual is a little confusing so I was getting pretty aggravated until I found this tutorial. Very helpful and well made!!!

Thanks so much for the warping tutorial, i found it really helpful.

Any advice on remixing and working with stems within Live? I'm used to working with Logic but i've got some projects coming up that need to be done in Live. As I'm kind of new to Live any advice or ideally a tutorial would be invaluable. Just wondering about warping whilst working with multiple tracks.
Any 'do's and don'ts' ?

SSST, Hi welcome to the forum and glad you found the video useful.

I'd say stick with the main arrange view in Live. I used to use the Scene view which has some advantages but in order to keep things working similar to Logic best to just go to arrange mode.

Note that Live will add a small fade automatically to clips so if you have something like a kick drum as audio the beginning will get faded off a bit. Took me a while to realize why my kicks were missing their transients at first.

Hola Medderz. top tutorial bro.. a real help.. not sure if you noticed that if you wanna set ur starting marker before you turn on warp you can still use dragging up and down in the top half of the clip window 2 resize.. like in Ableton 7 .. align ur first marker like that then go r-click and warp from here or what you want.. !
