Medway Wrote:SPL or Sonnox?
both I suppose. I've been feeling a lack of real control and precision with my current mix plugs lately.

I think you might also want to be interested in voxengo stuff.I heard elephant and it was great. And voxengo has super prices and reviews mate.If you search still for good value plugins maybe it can be a spot on,check them

Downloaded the SPL plug in demos a couple of days ago, the transient designer and the bass ranger are def keepers when i can afford them, on second thought maybe just the transient designer, tho the bass ranger is nice around 30hz

Nebula is doing it for me on low end but would be interesting to see how the bass ranger fares. Will try the demo and see how the transient designer sounds. What's the limitations of the demo?

Waylo Wrote:I really like the idea he showed of creating a bus- then putting two of the compressors on it with warmth turned up to 100%. Then using this bus as a "warmth bus" for certain elements of your track. The warmth on the dynamics can be cool although there is a point to where it accentuates the top end too much. Psp Saturator is good for that as well. But the sonnox dynamics is such a swiss army tool, great value for the money. I even used it as an eq for a long time,

The limitations are 14 days i believe, the bass ranger reminds me of the URS A and N plug ins when you boost 30hz, agreed on nebula stil waitign for the free mac libraries let alone the commercial version, I wanna start sampling.

One day I need to do the Daking as well. Got to check on the GPU capability on that thing too.
