Hi.
We had here nice topic with presets to oxford /sonnox stuff .
But another plugin with great reputation and usability is PSP VW.
Though,it is quite hard,or with other words, you really have to know what are you doing when you tweak him because tweaked badly can do more bad then positive stuff.
How U Use it?
I was earlier experimenting with it on mastering bus,but i dropped it as i knew i was doing some stuff still not good.
Anyone has any interesting presets to share ?

I have some I used for mastering although many times I take it off on the end. The trick I found was to use the mix knob and only add a few %.

the question is-will You share with us ?
I think this tool has great potential but it takes some practice and knowledge to make 100% of it.I tried it on some premade drum loops and was not bad,but i know still a lot of area to improove. This stuff has just to may knobs and settings to mess with

I use the PSP. Just tweak it from scratch most times. If you are having trouble working with the mix knobs, just max it up to 100%, flip to the back and adjust the amount of saturation you need for the low/mid/highs individually. If you'd still rather work with presets, a good starting point would be the Tape slow/mid preset. I'd advice you to experiment with the other presets, though they can be over the top in most cases, A tip is to bring the drive & knee back down, set it to auto release and tweak these and the others from this point. After using it for a while now, i personally find the PSP works best when pushed gently. I'd almost always use it on a Bus due to the latency involved when using it as a channel insert.
PS: A Medway preset for the PSP would be nice though

thanks for great post. And yeah, your suggestion with setting psp too 100% and then slowly adjust is the one with which i was starting to learn about regular compressors.
And yeah,i usually start with presets, thats surely what sucks and makes me not have control over all changes.
I asked about presets, because it is good to observe others presets, that theoretically have simillar musical taste and you can learn from such settings "why/where/when" and then try to apply it on your own or tweak to your needs

I agree the Tape presets are cool. I'll dig mine up and post here too. Also agree on the 100% trick, I do a lot with compressors to get the feel first and then back off.
