Not really sure their claims are that legitimate. I don't see any reason this would give you an SEO advantage. Also people are pretty used to typing in .com so the idea that they can type in your URL with a .music when they wouldn't have figured that out with a .com address is unlikely I'd say.

For exsiting brands that want subdomains it helps as the brand is first in the name but other than that I'd just stick with a .com.
