  AntiPhase
Posted by: Edgar_Jack - 08-19-2009, 06:09 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (7)

Hey,

I am mastering my sounds and using PAZ Analyzer to help get an overview of my sample. I am unsure how to fix the sounds that go out of the stereo field range for left and right channels, sounds that pass into the red AntiPhase area.. is there a plug in for this to remove them or is it more technique with EQ'in or something?

  Latency
Posted by: NuEra - 08-17-2009, 05:00 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (4)

With my massive project template in Logic I have brutal latency playing any sort of soft synth/sampler with my usb keyboard. Even with the buffer down to 128 the latency was unaffected.

I opened a blank project and created one instrument track and the latency was no longer an issue.

So obviously the latency has something to do with my extensive template.

- Where is the balance between having a rad template and a manageable level of latency that you can play parts in comfortably?
- Is there anyway to have a super rad template and not have latency?

I can acknowledge that one possible soultion is to render the project play parts over top in a new session and then import those parts back into the main session. However, that seems like a bit of a run around.

This is pretty much a blank slate type of topic for me, so any help/explanations are appreciated.

Effects on the master track/making the track go ^&*^GBHJK and back again
Posted by: NuEra - 08-17-2009, 04:52 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

Question is..

What are some ways I can completely turn my track to shit for a bar and then smack it right back reality.

so like track is grooving along...

How would effects on the master bus come into play in this situation when rendering for a stem master?

  Side chaining bass question
Posted by: NuEra - 08-12-2009, 12:34 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

Just a quick question about the order of processing for a typical deep sub bass sidchained to the kick...

best to put the compressor with the side chain first and then a second compressor after to even things out with a couple db of non side chained compression

or would you do regular compression first and then compress with your side chained compressor

opinions?

How are you guys taking the edge off claps and snares?
Posted by: KSC - 08-06-2009, 09:47 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (9)

I usually layer 2 claps and a snare or vice versa. I just can't seem to take that harsh edge off it and smoothen it out. I read somewhere here about using the Vintagewarmer.

Hey guys.. I'm kind of a lurker on here. Check in every so often. Thought I'd share a track with this group. Any thoughts are welcome. I would describe it as "feelgood breaks." Smile

What type of cpus are you running?
Posted by: admin - 07-27-2009, 12:43 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (20)

Purchased a dual E6750 a year ago which I o'cd to 3ghz but recently seems it's not keeping up anymore. Have a quad q6600 on the way which is supposed to be very overclockable as well.

Anyone gone from dual to quad and seen a nice performance gain?

  more about processing basslines
Posted by: przechuy - 07-25-2009, 11:13 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (11)

Medway already suggested some tips how to gel better bassline with kick

Now i would love to hear more tips from you how you process baslines to make it more unique, interesting etc.

Especially,it came to my mind to use some short reverb.

Would it cause problems ?A lot of people totally disadvice using reverb on such stuff,as it should be mono etc ,easier to handle.

But i also heard in a lot of tracks that actually reverb was applied, and i know that those tracks do work in club
