Yet another eq/comp plugin package released, this time by URS.

This ones looks especially interesting due to the fact its providing some saturation/color processing. It's said to emulate tape, tube, and transformer characteristics (possibly through convolution).

For me this is the one thing that's still missing from most of the emulations out there (why I sold my UAD). Will be very interesting to see how this one sounds.

Anyone have any compressors that they prefer? I use a 1176 emulation called Vinco and a multiband called Optimaster in Scope (DSP instances running on a PCI card). Otherwise have been playing a bit with a Distressor. Wish I had two of them, hehe.

Jesse, are there any software applications that you prefer to work in and what file types will you accept (Cubase SX, Logic, Live, etc.)? Or do you prefer audio file format?

I just spent a day programming the DSI evolver, wow is all I have to say, that thing is a beast, I dont wanna sound like I work for DSI, but if I could choose to have only one synth ever that would be it.

Well no sooner did I realize they've offered the N series as a separate package from the Mercury bundle now they've gone and modelled the API series eqs and compressor as well.

Can somebody help me with tips on how to create a proper/quality sweep or "lifting" sound like you can hear in most house productions? One needs to be original, but I think I first have to learn the basics before I can move to the next level...

I think I know my ways with a lot of parts of a housetrack, but it's the little specific things inside my head that I want to add but I really don't know how to produce them...

I am using FL Studio 7 XXL and I hope the program is advanced enough to create these sound effects easily...
