Does anyone use this?

I'm always interested in better compression and eq, and having this piece with a dedicated hardware unit so I dont have to eq with the mouse sounds like a fantastic idea.

Does anyone have any experience with it? Is it the real deal?

Hey Jesse,

Can you talk about your experiences with Analog Mastering Processors? I know you have a 2 Track tape (or your used to, did you leave it in florida?) and used that on your remix of unkle's invasion with Eva. Still one of my favorites tracks. Thanks!

  Dithering with plugins
Posted by: James Stichbury - 11-23-2007, 09:50 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

When you have the dither of a limiter switched ON such as in some of the waves limiters, do you have dithering switched OFF in you daw when bouncing? I.e. you daw does nothing because your plugin is doing it?
Thanks in advance.

Rendering each separate track individually at the same time in Cubase?
Posted by: Magnus - 11-19-2007, 08:26 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (9)

I want to render out each track at once into its own wav file, all at the same time. Doing this one by one as it is now would take forever. I came across this utility that does this called MEAP. You can check it out here:

Anyways, this costs money so I was wondering if there is a way to do this for free?

Thanks in advance!

Buying music direct vs BP and other sites
Posted by: admin - 11-07-2007, 01:39 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (9)

What are some of you guys thoughts on playing from bigger sites like BP as opposed to direct from an artist's own site or a site devoted to a smaller, more focused group of artists?

There are some troubles recently with artists getting sales due to the fact that at least with BP, you've got so many tracks out a week (sometimes in the region of 1500) that many good tracks fall through the cracks.

Obviously the bigger names and top 10 chart people are getting sold but a lot of good stuff is getting unnoticed. There is a case to be made that theres too many labels/tracks out that the moment as well and not enough filters in place.

Any thoughts?

Using a ghost kick for sidechaining when no kick is playing?
Posted by: Magnus - 10-29-2007, 05:36 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (6)

Hello all new to the board. Good friends with 13 and he mentioned this forum.

I've got a question about sidechaining with a ghost kick. My sidechaining is going fine using Compadre Beatpuncher which I love, but I need to have a ghost kick sidechaining the bassline, for like breakdowns where the bassline is playing, but no actual kick. I tried a muted kick, no dice. I still want the bassline to sound sidechained during these breakdowns or whatever, so I've read you can make a silent ghost kick that still sidechains the bass? From the reading around I've done, I guess the Waves Comp1 can do it?

Any help is greatly appreciated! Smile

this one will be coming out on Takeo Records. Don't know when.
it's a .wave as well.
ALL feedback is welcome.
if you play or chart it let me know.
it's pretty long, ok really long. i kinda got caught up in the individual sections of the the song versus the track as whole but to me it works really well.....
