when i did that Queen rmx i looked into it. also playing with bands, a friends band broke into some ac/dc song for 6 bars in the middle of one of theirs. one of the guys from porno for pyros produced the album out in la and the lawyers had to ok it. as long as it was under 8 bars it was legal and could be sold. additionally in researching the Queen rmx, you can by a lic. for almost any song ranging in price from $50 to $1000. that's all i did with the queen track just to cma. i forget the website but i'll be looking it up here in the near future again as i have a couple more tracks i want to do rmx's of like that.
i'm sure there could be some other issues with publishing rights as well but that's one area i have no knowledge of.
