Hey everyone,
I've been busy starting a new business, so have taken some breaks from production and posting here. While I was looking for business info, I came across an article that I found interesting. I want to share it with you. It's geared toward starting a community around your product, so not entirely useful for most of you....however, in terms of forums, I thought this part useful:
10. Observe the 1-9-90 rule. This new rule, pioneered by Josh Bernoff and Charlene Li in their seminal book Groundswell, is quickly becoming a standard: 1% of your population will create content, 9% will comment or engage with it, and 90% will just browse. Voyeurs rule the online world, so keep this in mind.
In other words, for every post you make, 90% of the total people here will read it and 9% will comment on it. (give or take, depending on the subject)
So....everyone KEEP POSTING!
I'm sure it will be useful to someone.
