For those who like sample packs, Future Loops is having a group buy-in until January 31. Right now it's at buy 1 get 2 packs free (equal or lesser value). If they can get 400 people to buy-in by the 31st then they'll throw in another free pack.

I hadn't really seen their stuff before. Some are really good. I'd love to get a hold of their "Total India" pack. Freakin 14GB! But box version only.

Check it out

Legendary RnB producer put up 50 free drum sounds on his website for Christmas. He's produced for pretty much everyone from MJ on. And most recently lady gaga...

Anyhow worth checking out, never hurts to get some fresh sounds from a quality source for free

hey everyone, just looking for some help sorting out a problem i am having. recently, i am having trouble finding the right spot for my fader on my (mostly drum) tracks. All the processing on my drumbuss has left me with channel faders around -56db for each channel. it's so low i can't even use my sends, as they are pfl and there isn't enough juice to get to the plugins on the bus haha the other down fall is i can't really fine tune a level when the faders are that low.

its not really a serious problem and now that i am aware of it im sure i can kind of tinker when i start a new project to make sure i am getting good level on my tracks. but just wondering if anyone has run into this and what they do to find a good balance between bus compression but good levels from the individual tracks..

happy new year all

Happy new year everyone and here's to a productive 2010 in the studio...

Hi,
Just joined and figured to show something I'm working on currently.
http://morrismusiclab.blogspot.com/2009/...-post.html

It currently needs some more work as the transitions between different sections are a little bit boring and no mastering done on the overall sound of the track whatsoever.

Thanks.

Been waiting for this one too, the saturation on their other plugs is really useful and this one is sounding pretty nice as well:

Hi,

This is just a quick update to let forum members know what's going on with the Ableton Course.

I had originally planned to get it out in the end of Fall but due to mastering workload I was unable to.

I've now planned to take care of this over the holiday break while things slow down a bit so everyone can expect the course to be completed very early in the new year, I'm hoping for late January at the latest.

In the meantime hope everyone enjoys their holidays and see you in the new year.

Jesse

Pretty keen to try this out as I had the tube version of their MKII one years ago. Might be nice to put this on a synth or drum buss.
